Today, the day will be long, too.

02 March, 2009

A long day is forthcoming, I think when I lie in bed and my alarm clock has already ringed. My next thought: Today, I have PE!!! This would be a reason to stay laying!!

I persuade myself to get up at 6.30am. I have no choice. I go into the bathroom and get dressed. At 7.50 am I start going to the bus stop. I am always late, not like my father who backs the car out of the garage 15 min. before he starts. In the first lesson, we have religious education. In our second lesson´, we have art. After the break, I am teached in French. Some students are loud and lacking in concentration. Then, we have civics with the "rabbit-paw-teacher" :)! After our 20- minutes-break, we are 90 min long " physical educated". "Education" is definitely the wrong word! But at the end of this lesson, I know that 90 minutes also pass! The next 90 minutes will be much better because we have Comenius. We have got an envelope from Bulgaria. They have sent a red and white wristband. It is a symbol of good health and coming spring. White symbolizes purity and soul, red stands for passion and life. Our task today is to prepare the presentations for Thessaloniki. Cindy, Lisett and I will present the German school system in Thessaloniki. At this time, most participants are tired and do not feel like working. There is not much time left and so we do not make considerable progress. I am at home at 4.oo pm and we caffeinate. My mother, father and I eat the cake my mother has baked yesterday.

I get up today at 11.00 am . This is very late and I know: The early bird catches the worm. I like going to bed late. The later it is, the livelier I am. I eat a roll but I don't spend much time at having breakfast. I read the newspaper while my sisters cooks. This isn't polite but she soothes my conscience. Today we have stuffed cabbage leavess for lunch. I don't eat this!!! We tidy up the kittchen after we have eaten (I just eat a potatoe) and I enjoy the time with my sister because she'll go to Bavaria today again. She shows me an article in a magazine which talks about the pessimism in this time (Financial crises). The author demanded more satisfaction and confidence. The right article for me! I do my homework and it is 4:00 pm soon. We eat a fancy cake which my mother has baked. I hoover my sister's room because I don't want that she has to do it. We say good bye to her and wish her all the best. After we have dinner, my mother and my father clear the table. I write a post and pack my bag. At 11.15 pm, I fall asleep.

Open house day

I get up at 9.15 today and I have to hurry because our open house day take place today. My father and I go by car to Zwoenitz. There was a lot to see, hear and taste at this day! Besides, I have the task to write an article about our open house day. I visit every room and see what the project participants have done the last three days. Some pupils present the Russian cuisine and I try "Kwass". This drink looks a bit like cola (there is light and dark "Kwass") but tastes completely different. It isn't so sweet like the American drink and is made from bread and raisins. I go after this nice experience to a project which deals with our senses. My civics teacher recommends me reaching into a certain box and guessing what it is. The box contains a woolly thing and I say to my teacher: "Is it a dead animal?" She says: "No, it is not so bad!" I have a look and see that the thing I have touched the whole time is a rabbit paw. Yuck!! I wash my hands at once and go. At 1.30pm I am at home again. For lunch, my big sister has cooked spaghetti. After I have enjoyed my lunch I wash the dishes because I don't want that my sister has to do it. Besides, I empty our dust bins. Have a look at our exemplary German waste separation! My sister and I go to the supermarket at 2.30 pm. As we come home, my mother has returned from work. I begin to do my maths homework and at 4.00 pm we caffeinate. Then I continue to do my difficult homework. At 7.30 pm we have supper and it's great that my sister who isn't normally here can be with us. There's a lot to do in a household! Now, we empty our dishwasher. I write posts this evening (time flies!) and go to bed at 1.15 am. The morning is coming already again :)!

A short school day
Hi,
the day starts very strange but cool. I get up like every morning at 6.25am and leave our home at 6.50 am (very late today!). I hope I don't miss the bus. I can run even if I am not good at sport! Our bus starts every day at 7 o' clock am but today, it doesn't arrive at our bus stop. Cindy, Rebekka, I and others from our school stand at the bus stop and we w a i t and w a i t and w a i t. Pupils from the secondary school in Zwoenitz haven't lessons because many teachers in Saxony strike today. Although 70% of the schools in Saxony cancelled classes, we have to attend school. Unfair! It's cold and at 7.35 am I decide to go home. The law says we can go home after 30 min. if a bus doesn't arrive. After I came home, I read the newspaper and decide to stay up because we learned in our German lessons : "Carpe diem!" I tidy up my desk, learn some new English vocabulary and write posts and e-mails for Comenius. Besides, I want to read the websites from our Comenius partners. My big sister is coming to see us this weekend. It's great!
She visits us only one time per month because she has got a job in Bavaria, 500 km far away from my hometown. She proposes me to go shopping in Chemnitz. This takes of course a lot of time and so we are back at 17:45. But I can't go home yet because I see a play from our school theatre group. I will write an article about this in our school magazine. Therefore, I arrive at home only at 19:30. We have dinner and I eat as ever cheese. In the evening I watch the news on ZDF (a German TV channel) and check my e-mails. Besides, I write some posts. I go to bed at 0.45 am.

Hello,

I get up this morning at 6.20 am and I am more awake than yesterday. I set out for going to the bus stop at 6.48 am. The bus is often crowded with pupils but Karl, my classmate saves me a seat. At 7o' clock the bus arrives at our school. Mostly, I go then to our school library. I am very relaxed because we have project activities today. My first task is to begin to write this blog. After that, I write some e- mails. Then, I complete my posts and write a caption for our wall paper which we display at our open house day on Saturday. I take some photos of the activities from other groups and go home at 12.00 pm. Rebekka's mother gives us a lift. I read the newspaper and write an article about a play of our theatre group for the school magazine. In the afternoon, the painter comes and tells me how to design my new room.
We eat supper together at 7.30 pm. I help in the kittchen and clean the floor in the second floor of our house. After that, I watch TV and go to bed at 11.00 pm (very late today, I think I will yawn a lot tomorrow!)

25 February, 2009

This is the first time I write my lifestyle diary. I will write one post per day.

I am tired this morning but I am motived because our project activities start today. My bus is late today and so I have enough time to walk to the bus stop. I am at school at 7.20. This is a bit late today. I go to room 405- our project room. Mrs Mulcahy explains us at first how to make a webblog. This takes much time. Rico and I choose after that the best from a huge amount of photos for our wallpaper. The others produced films. At lunchtime, we finish our work and we could go home. My father gives Cindy and me a lift. We have to wait ca.30 minutes. As I arrive at home, I have lunch with my parents. We have eaten "Quarkkeulchen", a German dish which is made from cooked potatoes and curd. Delicious!!! After lunch, I read a book for my term paper in English which is called "Generation doof". It deals with the young German generation which doesn't know anything and doesn't want to learn anything. At 16:00 we caffeinate. My sisters proposes me to go shopping. We are at home for dinner. I eat as ever bread and (soft) cheese. My sister wash the dishes and I wipe them. Then,I watch a little bit TV and I am annoyed about the stupid TV programme. I go to bed at circa 10:30 pm.
